My name is Lindsey Volker and I am the owner and designer behind Art and Fawn hand painted necklaces. Growing up, I always liked to create, whether it was sewing outfits for my stuffed animals, designing wallpaper for my Dad's computer or making various holiday decorations for my mom. When I was teenager, I found an antique necklace that used to belong to my grandmother that looked like it had been hand painted and had the artist's signature on it. I quickly fell in love with that necklace because it reminded me of her and it was absolutely gorgeous. Years later, I decided I wanted to try to make necklaces like that using my own designs and paintings. Through a lot of trial and error, I figured out how to make them and that's when I started my Etsy shop, Art and Fawn.

 

Aside from being the owner and designer for Art and Fawn, I am also a full-time graphic designer with a degree in graphic communications from Minnesota State University Moorhead. Being a graphic designer, I am exposed to a lot of imagery, patterns and textures which inspire my necklace designs. My designs are also heavily influenced by animals and nature. I currently reside in Fargo, North Dakota where I share an apartment with my boyfriend and a very fluffy black cat named Martin. Besides coming up with new designs for Art and Fawn necklaces, I enjoy playing guitar, reading, drinking a good glass of wine and gardening, or rather, attempting to garden.
